Updated over a year ago

What is the Signals Table?

The Signals Table is a resource within Avenue that allows users to track and analyze signals generated by their monitors. The Table comes packed with powerful features designed to streamline workflows and optimize operational performance.

Filtering

Filters give you the capacity to sift your existing signals and focus solely on the ones that are most relevant to your current use case.

Grouping

Grouping is great for bucketing your signals into useful partitions to gain insights on your overall signal volume.

Reports

Reports allows you to see metric insights of your signals. Read more about this in our Signal Reports specific documentation.

Creating Views

Customizing Columns

Viewable Columns

You can adjust the viewable columns either by removing them from your view completely or shifting the order they appear:

Dynamic Columns

Adding dynamic columns lets you use data provided from the underlying monitor to populate.

Steps to add Dynamic Columns

1. Let's say we would like to show a data point returned by the monitor query named full_name as a column for each signal

Step 1 screenshot

2. First we would select the Gear icon in the top right corner

Step 2 screenshot

3. Enter in the data point we want to populate the column and click Add

Step 3 screenshot

4. New columns populate at the end so we move it to a more prominent position

Step 4 screenshot

5. We have successfully added a dynamic column!

Signal Overview

Signal overviews allows you to review and work on signals in your signals table without needing to go to that specific signals page.

Comments & Internal Notes

One awesome feature to note is the ability to not only add comments which are synced across all of your subscribers, but also add internal notes to signals which won't be sent out to subscribers.
