Overview

Data Views makes it easy for operation teams and data engineers to work independently of each other. Team members can create Data Views and set up SQL queries that output data sets for specific business requirements. If an organization has multiple data warehouses or various data sources, data views can be generated for each specific use case. Operation teams can then create Monitors on top of these Data Views without needing to make adjustments to the queries.

Set up a Data View

Team Members can set up and create a Data View by clicking on the Create Data View button on the Data Views tab. Here, you can view, edit, and access your data. You can easily switch between different data sources and view database schemas.

For each Data View you create, you will be prompted to select the column(s) that uniquely identify a resulting row from your query. This will be used by Monitors created on top of this Data View to trigger signals.

Create a Monitor using Data Views

When creating Monitors in your Avenue workspace, you will be select the Import Data View and see all of the existing Data Views in your organization. You can also overwrite these and copy over to query to make adjustments just for this monitor.
