You may not need a monitor to query data, for example if you want to send an alert to a slack channel every morning reminding your team to check their Avenue task dashboards you can! Here's a video walkthrough on how to do this:
Steps:
Click the
New Monitorbutton in the top left corner.Add your monitor title, emoji, and set the type as a Report Monitor.
Select a SQL data source and add
SELECT 1 + 1as the query.Choose the cadence you would like the monitor to run.
Configure the message you would like to send.
Add the subscriber you would like to send the notification to.
Create the monitor 🎉
