What is SendGrid?
SendGrid is a cloud-based SMTP provider that allows you to send emails without having to maintain email servers. To send emails from custom email addresses using your domain, rather than the default [email protected], use this integration.
How to integrate SendGrid with Avenue?
To begin, access the settings menu from the dashboard.
Continuing, navigate to the integrations section, select the SendGrid integration, and input your API Key. Finally, click the 'Create Integration' button.
To find your API key on SendGrid, follow these steps:
Click on the "Settings" button on the left-hand side.
Select "API Keys" from the drop-down menu.
If you already have an API key, you will see a list of your existing API keys. To create a new API key, click on the "Create API Key" button.
Give your new API key a name that is descriptive and relevant to its use.
Select the level of access you want to grant this API key.
Click on the "Create & View" button to create the API key and view its value.
Note: Your API key will only be shown once. Make sure to save it in a secure location, as it cannot be retrieved later.
How does the integration work?
Moving forward, when creating a new monitor, you will have the option to specify the email address from which to send alerts to subscribers.
Upon adding the desired email address, all alerts will be sent from your domain email address, instead of the default [email protected], to the subscribers
